    Give yourself something to look forward to after Christmas with this enjoyable winter break, suitable for all bird lovers. Whether we have piercing blue skies, wintery showers or atmospheric mists our guided birdwatching expeditions are sure to be memorable. Bring your stout boots, binoculars and cameras and prepare for bracing walks (with a choice of distances) and warming lunches in local hostelries. The price includes full board accommodation: hearty home-made meals with full English breakfasts and puddings to stick to your ribs; all minibus transport and illustrated evening talks. How Hill House is wonderfully cosy in winter and sunset views over the marshes can be spectacular.

    The exact itinerary will depend on weather and bird sightings, but past holidays have included:
    Buckenham Marshes – for Bean Geese, Wigeon and a plethora of other wildfowl, Peregrine Falcon plus an impressive Corvid roost.
    Horsey/Waxham/Sea Palling – the coast provides an excellent opportunity to see a variety of species, from Snow Bunting to Divers.
    Stubb Mill at Hickling – a raptor roost with Marsh/Hen Harriers and Merlins; Owls, Cranes and the occasional Glossy Ibis.
    Breydon Water NNR – an estuary habitat excellent for waders.
    Barton Broad and the River Ant aboard our boats with coffee and cake for sustenance – wintering ducks, Divers, and fingers crossed for Bittern
    St Benet’s Abbey – all three species of swan, wintering wildfowl and raptors.
