DAY VISITS

Why not try How Hill for a day visit?

Our day visits are very flexible and cover a wide range of subject areas including habitat studies, formation of the Broads, ecology, local history and art . We may also be able to develop activities to meet your specific requirements. For example, in previous years we have run a Wind in the Willows themed literacy day complete with a visit to Mole End, a boat trip on the river and adventures in the Wild Wood.

Colin O’Riordan Building

Day visits are available throughout the year.

We welcome home education group day visits.

All activities take place within a relatively small area, so our day visits are also well suited to reception age children with little legs! We can accommodate up to 60 children. Our minimum number is 20 children, with over 40 children we would split into three groups with a teacher from the visiting school leading one simple activity. Full details would be provided in advance.

Day visits are usually based in the thatched Colin O’Riorden building on our private field not far from the toilet block. Day visits usually run from 10am-2pm with a short lunch break. Three of the activities shown below are included. How Hill provides two teaching staff per visit.
