We offer a range of bespoke residential packages for both Schools and Youth Groups. Please download our brochures above for information regarding your potential or upcoming visit to How Hill.

We can offer one, two or four-night residential packages. We have activities ranging from the natural world, local history, scientific discovery, team building, geography and creative art.

School Day Trips to How Hill

Day Trips to How Hill

At How Hill we offer day visits throughout the year. All activities are run on-site, within walking distance of our thatched education building on our private field, making our day visits well suited to reception upwards!

We can accommodate up to 60 children with a minimum number of 20 children per visit. Day visits usually run from 10am to 2pm with a short lunch break and include 3 activities

Outline for your day visit:

Please meet your How Hill staff outside How Hill House (Coach drivers follow directions to the House, not the public car park).

Day visits usually run from 10 am-2 pm with a short lunch break.

The group will need to be split into groups for activities and all children and adults will need welly boots/ walking boots and a waterproof coat.

Three activities are included, and the day is as follows:

  • 10:00- Arrive, toilet break, snack, welcome and introduction.
  • 10:15- First activity
  • 11:15- Second activity
  • 12:15- Lunch in our education building.
  • 12:45- Third activity
  • 1:45- Collect up belongings, toilet stop and goodbye.
  • 2:00 Depart

Evening Trips to How Hill

Evening visits to How Hill are made up of 2 activities of your choosing and are based at our freshwater ecology centre to the back of How Hill House. Our usual evening visits run from 5.30 pm – 7.30 pm.

Two activities are included

  • 5.30pm- Arrive, toilet break, welcome and introduction.
  • 5.45pm- First activity
  • 6.30pm- Second activity
  • 7.15pm- Collect up belongings, toilet stop and goodbye.
  • 7.30pm- Depart
