It’s always lovely when old friends drop in to see you. So it’s been great to host the Great Bentley Art Club at How Hill this week.

They have been visiting in various guises since 1985 to paint, sketch relax and explore the local area on outings.

Organiser Peter Joslin said: “How Hill has such an aura with its history, landscape and wildlife – and the friendly staff are fantastic at looking after us.”

Member Pam Johnston, who paints watercolour landscapes and birds, added: “It’s such a lovely peaceful place whatever time of year we come.”

The group enjoyed a boat trip to Barton Broad, and outings to Horsey Mill, Hickling and Wroxham.

For group bookings at How Hill, which has en-suite bedrooms and fresh home-made food, email   secretary@howhilltrust.org.uk or call Zenda Madge on 01692 678555.
